Happy Anniversary

Today Evan and I are celebrating our 3 year wedding anniversary. Sometimes I can't believe it's been 3 years and other times it seems like it should be more. We're pretty simple. We haven't really done anything extravagant for our anniversary. The first year we took a motorcycle trip. Last year we, well I can't remember what we did last year. We probably cooked dinner at home. This year we are going out to dinner while my mom watches the kids. I am sure one day the kids will go out and celebrate with us like I always did with my parents.

The Great American Food?

So I was making a PB&J sandwich for lunch in the kitchen at work yesterday and a co-worker posed an interesting thought. He said" you know most people say that hot dogs are the great American food, but I kinda think PB&J is." I got to thinking about it and I guess it could be considered that. I mean, when you were a kid your mom always had "staples" in the house. Those go-to snacks and dinners that if nothing else sounded good you could make on the quick. Hot dogs is usually one of these, but come to think of it mom always had PB&J in the house too. What do you think?
