So last night ....

We took Reese and Sidney over to get ready for bed. I put Reese's pjams on him and put him in his bed for a min so he couldn't escape or fall off of anything. This is what happened.

New Bed

Reese has gotten a new bed. Well, new to him. He has outgrown his bassinet :( Little man is growing up too fast. He seems to like it.

Bass Pro Shops

Sunday, after church, we stopped by BPS. It was Reese's first time to go there. He had a lot of firsts while we were there. He sat in the buggy for the first time, saw the big fish and got his first fishing hat. He also fell asleep while we were walking around. I ended up having to carry him for a bit. I guess all the excitement tuckered him out.

Good weekend / Bad weekend

So this weekend was both good and bad.
Good because Evan and I got the box woods in our front yard trimmed. They now look like crappy stick bushes, but better than they did.

Bad because my parents called yesterday and said they needed to come and talk to me and Evan. Evan really didn't need to be there, they just didn't want me to be alone. They drove down to the house to tell me that my God Father passed away early that morning. My mom and dad had found out earlier and couldn't tell me over the phone. He was my dad's best friend. I have only seen my dad cry two times and this was one of them. I am sad for our loss and also worried for my dad.

It hasn't been a great week for him. Earlier that week my uncle Billy, my dad's baby brother, suffered a massive heart attack. He is fine and at home resting. We are all so grateful for that.

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

So cute

One of the blogs I follow, The Vintage Pearl, has blogged about a giveaway from Tiny Sprouts. It is an adorable site. They say you need to chose what you would pick to spend your gift certificate on. After looking through the site, and trying to decide, I thought I would pick the crayon tote. I had one as a kid and think the kids would love one too.

Daily Thoughts...I fell behind

I fell behind this week so I will post Monday - Thursday and then do today's as usual. Monday's will be at the bottom and so on.

Something new

So I have decided to do something new on the blog. Every morning I get an e-mail from Real Simple (the magazine). It is a daily thought e-mail. Sometimes they go right along with my day, at times they don't and others go along with things that have recently happened. Funny how that happens. So I thought I would share them with you. Maybe you will get a good laugh, some inspiration or something from them. Enjoy!

You can go here if you are interested in receiving the e-mails yourself.

At the park

Yesterday, since the weather was nice, I took the kids to the park. They had so much fun. It was Reese's first time on the equipment.

Silly Boys

While we were getting ready for church yesterday, Sidney asked if she could brush Reese's hair since he had just had a shower. I said sure. She then said "do something funny with his hair like you do mine." So this is what happened.

And then of course Evan had to do it too.

March 2, 2010 = 20 years

So today, March 2, 2010, my mom is celebrating her 20 year anniversary of being Breast Cancer free. Yay!!! We make a big deal out of it every year, but this year is a milestone. We got her flowers and a gift as usual and made cupcakes for her and her class at school. Last night, however, Evan, Sidney, Reese and I snuck into her room after she went home and decorated her class room. We put up streamers, balloons, made the desk pink and all sorts of stuff. Some of the other teachers even had the kids make things for her and put them in her room yesterday. Each child in the day care had a pink ribbon with his/her name on it and it was strung up in my mom's room. Her class made a big pink ribbon out of pink ribbons they colored and another class made her a banner with their hand prints. There were even little signs around the school of encouragement for her. She was so surprised and excited this morning. I'd say it is a great anniversary.

I can sit

So Reese has started sitting up by himself. He stays up for at least 6 min. :) We went to the doctor this morning for his 6m checkup. He weighed in at 16lb 3oz, 27 in long and has a 17in head. Wow!

Dinner at Pablo's

So we went to dinner the other night with my parents to celebrate my mom's anniversary (I'll explain in an upcoming post about the anniversary). She decided she wanted to go to Pablo's for dinner. Everyone had a great time and Reese provided us with some entertainment.

Just like Poppy

My Nanny bought me this baseball cap so I could look like my Poppy.

Eating like a big boy

Reese has finally started opening his mouth when we feed him with the spoon. I sent food to school hoping he would see the other kids eating like that and, of course, it worked.
