March 2, 2010 = 20 years

So today, March 2, 2010, my mom is celebrating her 20 year anniversary of being Breast Cancer free. Yay!!! We make a big deal out of it every year, but this year is a milestone. We got her flowers and a gift as usual and made cupcakes for her and her class at school. Last night, however, Evan, Sidney, Reese and I snuck into her room after she went home and decorated her class room. We put up streamers, balloons, made the desk pink and all sorts of stuff. Some of the other teachers even had the kids make things for her and put them in her room yesterday. Each child in the day care had a pink ribbon with his/her name on it and it was strung up in my mom's room. Her class made a big pink ribbon out of pink ribbons they colored and another class made her a banner with their hand prints. There were even little signs around the school of encouragement for her. She was so surprised and excited this morning. I'd say it is a great anniversary.
